How to Rent a Tuxedo or Suit with DuBois

Renting a tuxedo or suit is simple with DuBois. Whether it’s for your wedding, prom, or another special event, our team makes the process smooth from start to finish.

Step One —

Find Your Location & Book an Appointment

Start by choosing the DuBois location that works best for you. Each store’s hours, contact information, and directions are listed on our Locations page. Once you’ve picked your preferred store, reach out by phone or email to book an appointment. Booking ahead ensures we can give you our full attention.

Step Two —

Meet with a DuBois Associate & Select Styles

When you arrive, one of our associates will guide you through the latest styles, color options, and accessories for you and your wedding party. We’ll talk through your event details, review your wedding date, and make sure your vision comes to life. If you have a bridesmaid dress fabric swatch, bring it along – it helps us find the most accurate match possible. Once styles are confirmed, your wedding is officially booked in our system.

Step Three —

Get Fitted

If the groom is present during the style appointment, we’ll complete his fitting that same day. The rest of the wedding party can either schedule fittings individually or come in together. We recommend everyone be measured 2–3 months before the wedding so we have plenty of time to prepare, though later fittings can still be accommodated.

When you arrive for your fitting, we’ll have you try on a shoe – please remember to bring socks. During the appointment, we’ll take your full measurements, gather contact information, and confirm your pickup location. A $50 payment is due at this stage to reserve your order, but you’re welcome to pay the full balance if you prefer. This ensures everything is reserved and ready for your event.

Step Four —

Pick Up & Final Fitting

Two to three days before your event, your selected store will notify you when your tuxedo or suit is ready for pickup. At your final fitting, you’ll try on your rental items with our associates to confirm everything looks and feels right. While our goal is a perfect fit the first time, adjustments can be made on-site if needed. To avoid last-minute stress, we recommend scheduling your pickup and final fitting as soon as you receive your ready notification.

Step Five —

Return Your Rental

After the celebration, you’ll return all rental items – tuxedo or suit, shirt, tie, shoes, and accessories – the next business day. This helps us keep everything on schedule for future weddings and events. Before returning, double-check your pockets and bags for personal belongings to ensure nothing gets left behind.
